Chef Profile: Glen Carr
As Glen Carr stepped from his kitchen I momentarily sensed I was about to meet Australia’s answer to Jamie Oliver. Blessed with youthful good looks, spiky hair and cheeky grin he radiated the nonchalant aura of super chef, scuttling off to bed down another eagerly awaited television series.

Moments later when we started to chat, Carr’s thoughtful erudite communication caused such comparative thoughts to evaporate. This twenty eight year old was so focused on excelling at his craft I suspect the idea of evolving an entertainer persona had never crossed his mind. But I had to concede, super chef was still appropriate, after all he did lead the cooking team taking out this years’ Restaurant & Catering of SA, ‘Best European Restaurant’ award......more
